Hiring Remote/Hybrid Contract Real Estate Attorney – Mechanic's Lien, Title Clearance & Litigation Specialist
Location: Remote or Hybrid (Flexibility to Work Remotely with Occasional In-Person Meetings, if applicable)
We are a reputable law firm specializing in real estate and construction law, seeking an experienced real estate attorney for a remote or hybrid contract-based position. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Mechanic's Liens, title clearance, and real estate litigation, including discovery, summary judgment, declaratory relief, injunctive relief, temporary restraining orders, foreclosure sales, notices of default, non-judicial trustee sales, judicial foreclosure, and quiet title actions. This role offers the potential for ongoing collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Draft, file, and enforce Mechanic's Liens in compliance with applicable state and local laws
Advise clients, including contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, on lien rights and procedures
Handle legal matters related to construction contracts, disputes, and lien-related litigation
Guide clients through the title clearance process for properties acquired at real estate auctions
Provide legal counsel and representation in foreclosure sales, notices of default, non-judicial trustee sales, judicial foreclosure, and quiet title actions
Draft and litigate actions involving declaratory relief, injunctive relief, temporary restraining orders, and summary judgment
Requirements:
Licensed attorney with a proven track record in real estate law and litigation
In-depth understanding of:
Mechanic's Lien laws
Construction law
Title clearance after auction purchases
Real estate litigation, including non-judicial trustee sales, judicial foreclosure, quiet title actions, and urgent legal remedies
Strong communication, negotiation, and litigation skills
Ability to work independently and manage cases remotely or in a hybrid setting while adhering to deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with construction companies, contractors, or in lien-related litigation
Familiarity with legal processes for foreclosure sales, resolving complex title issues, non-judicial trustee sales, judicial foreclosure, and quiet title actions
Proven experience securing injunctive relief and litigating cases involving notices of default
