We are a boutique, estate planning law firm in Glendale, CA, looking for a full-time Legal Assistant / Junior Paralegal. This is an in-person position.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
At least 2 years prior experience working in a law firm
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proper spelling and grammer
Extreme attention to detail
Team player
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
Computer savy, and comfortable using Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe as well as case management software (prior experience with Clio preferred), drafting software (prior experience with Wealth Counsel Documents preferred) and various AI platforms
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Must have a BA or Paralegal Certification
Notary publique certification or willingness to become a notary
Must love dogs (we have them visit the office often) and must have a sense of humor
Daily Job Duties:
Draft legal documents using samples and legal software programs
Edit, format, print and prepare documents for signing meetings
Assist client manager during signing meetings by serving as a witness, scanning and organizing documents
Create PDFs and share documents with clients via client management software
Format, print, scan, copy, tab and shred legal documents
Retrieve and send mail, including certified mail and Fed Ex
Communicate with clients, and other parties involved in cases
Manage client’s virtual files, including scanning as well as saving and filing documents
Perform administrative tasks as needed
Office Hours, in-person, Monday through Friday from 9:00am-5:30pm.
