About the Job
Nationally recognized plaintiff’s litigation firm seeks an experienced paralegal. The Job duties include legal filing, service of process, assistance with drafting pleadings, propounding and answering discovery, drafting demand letters, ordering and reviewing medical records, preparation for trials and handling client calls and meeting. The successful candidate is time efficient, organized, detail oriented, able to prioritize duties, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Basic Responsibilities
Send legally formatted correspondence
Order and review medical records and medical bills
Draft pleadings, discovery and demand letters
Prepare legal documents
Communicate with the Court and other attorneys
Provide administrative and clerical support as needed
Prepare trial binders
Skills & Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Familiarity with federal and state codes of civil procedure and litigation processes
Solid communication skills both written and verbal
Resourceful and proactive in dealing with internal and external issues
Ability to organize, prioritize, and work under pressure
Ability to negotiate and problem solve
Compensation: DOE
Education and Experience:
CA B&P Code 6450 Paralegal Certificate preferred.
Minimum 2 years litigation experience
