We are a small Workers’ Compensation law firm looking to hire an in-office receptionist/legal assistant.
There are two potential positions open:
1) Receptionist/Legal Assistant without experience
Must be fluent in Spanish and English
Duties include:
Answering phones
Opening mail
Scanning documents
Labeling documents according to our instructions
Speaking with clients who call in, identifying their concerns, and directing that client to the appropriate person in our
office to deal with those concerns
Mailing letters (service of documents)
Calling clients to notify them of hearings, medical appointments, depositions, etc.
2) Receptionist/Legal Assistant with at least 1-2 years of experience in Workers’ Compensation
Duties include
All of the duties stated above in addition to…
Writing demands for payment of deposition fees
Scheduling interpreters
Scheduling QME examinations
Preparing trial exhibits
Organizing records to be sent to defense attorneys and QMEs.
Serving QME records on defense attorneys and QMEs.
Writing QME/AME advocacy letters
While we are a small firm, we are growing quickly, and the perfect candidate will be someone who wants to gain experience in the Workers’ Compensation field with the intent of making this a career.
