Are you the kind of person who can name ten memes faster than most people can open TikTok? We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes digital culture - someone who understands the rhythm of online humor, viral trends, and how the internet talks.
This project involves reviewing short, AI-generated videos and assessing how well they align with real internet culture. It’s a great fit for people who have a sharp eye for what’s funny, what’s relevant, and what feels off.
What you’ll do:
- Watch and annotate video content for tone, humor, and cultural accuracy
- Evaluate videos against simple review criteria
- Spot memes, trends, or pop culture references that hit (or miss)
- Help refine standards for evaluating online media
- Work with a team that values flexibility and creative insight
Who you are:
- Extremely online - you know what’s trending, what’s outdated, and why it matters
- Familiar with TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Twitter (X), and meme ecosystems
- Strong written communication and ability to summarize tone clearly
- Organized, focused, and able to meet deadlines on time
- Prior experience in content moderation, cultural research, or media tagging is a plus
Details:
- Pay rate: $40/hr
- Fully remote and asynchronous
- Around 40 hours per week available
- Ongoing project with potential for long-term collaboration
