Job Description – Assistant Designer
Position Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Full-time Assistant Designer to support our design team in developing innovative, trend-forward denim collections. The ideal candidate is passionate about fashion and denim, highly organized, and eager to contribute to the design process from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
● Assist the Design Team with research, concept development
● Support in creating CADs, and preparing detailed tech packs.
● Source fabrics, trims, and embellishments, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics.
● Maintain and update line sheets, design boards, and digital archives.
● Assist in fittings by taking notes, photographing garments, and documenting changes.
● Communicate with vendors, factories, and internal teams regarding samples and development timelines.
● Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and consumer insights to inform design direction.
● Provide administrative support including scheduling, organizing samples, and coordinating design meetings.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field (or equivalent experience).
● 1–2 years of experience in denim.
● Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
● Excellent technical drawing, and garment construction knowledge.
● Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
● Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
● Passion for fashion trends, especially in denim and women’s apparel.
Preferred Skills
● Knowledge of washes, embellishments, and denim fabrications.
● Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus for vendor communication (not required).
