Production team looking for studio assistant/screen technician. The ideal candidate will have experience working in silk screen production, have excellent attention to detail, and a keen eye for accuracy. The screen technician plays a crucial role in the maintenance of the screens, one of the most important steps in the production of large scale artworks. We are looking for someone focused, enthusiastic, can take direction and who works well as part of a team. It is important that the candidate is reliable and has their own transportation.
The ideal candidate has a flexible schedule with daytime or evening availability along with availability on the weekends when necessary. This is a temporary full-time position at $27/hr that will run through the fall of 2024.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, coat screens, and expose screens
Ensure screens are properly aligned for printing
Wash, maintain and inspect high volume of screens
Maintain and clean equipment regularly
Organize and manage film storage
Qualifications:
Experience with screen washing
Organized
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
Willingness to learn and implement new techniques
