Wanted: Woodworker
We are looking to hire a furniture builder at our wood shop in Monrovia, CA. Duties include:
-prepping material for furniture builds
-building furniture to spec
-sanding, finishing, and installing furniture
-potentially assist in (mostly local) milling jobs
-general shop maintenance
Experience required, including a general understanding of woodworking, specifically custom furniture. Our stock of wood is very heavy, so the ability to lift up to 100 lbs is necessary. Reliable transportation is also preferred. Preferred availability is weekdays from 9 am - 1 pm. Part time with potential to move to full time.
This is a great opportunity to artfully express yourself while building furniture that will likely outlive us. We are looking for people with a high work ethic, a good sense of timelines, and clear communication skills.
