This role is a mix of "System Building" (creating protocols, FDA compliance) and "Hands-on Execution" (daily deep cleaning and inspection). You will be responsible for establishing the food safety culture of the brewery. You are not just a supervisor; you are the guardian of our quality who spends about 50% of the time (approx. 4 hours/day) on the floor cleaning and maintaining the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and update Food Safety Policies and Sanitation/Safety Rules.
Establish HACCP/FSMA-based systems (determine CCPs, design recording logs).
Create manuals for cleaning, chemical handling, and inventory management.
Ensure compliance with FDA, TTB, and LA County Health Department regulations.
Execute daily cleaning duties (approx. 4 hours/day) to maintain an immaculate brewing environment.
Supervise staff cleaning quality and provide immediate feedback/coaching.
Manage digital records using SaaS tools (e.g., Safety Culture) for temperature logs, sanitation checks, and photo evidence.
Coordinate with external vendors (Pest Control, Chemical suppliers, etc.).
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
· 2+ years of experience in Food Safety or Quality Assurance (QA/QC).
· Experience in food/beverage manufacturing plants or breweries is essential.
· Working knowledge of FDA, USDA, TTB, or LA Health regulations.
Job Details:
· Shift: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 1pm- 7pm ( OT as needed )
· Pay: $26.00-$30.00/HR
