CNC OPERATOR
OVERVIEW
FULL TIME OPPORTUNITY FOR A CNC OPERATOR TO EXCEL WITHIN A CUTTING-EDGE AEROSPACE COMPONENT MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT. US CITIZENSHIP OR LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS IS REQUIRED. MUST SPEAK ENGLISH FLUENTLY.
Candidates must have a work history operating basic manual tool room machinery, CNC lathes, and CNC mills. The CNC Operator is responsible for maintaining consistent part quality and production output throughout the day.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operating Dual spindle live tooling CNC lathes
2. Operating 5-Axis CNC mills
3. In-Process inspection and measurement logging of machined parts
4. Inspecting tools for wear and replacing as necessary
5. Monitoring and adjusting tooling offsets to maintain tight tolerances (tenths)
6. Preventative maintenance of machine shop equipment
7. Fabricating tooling fixtures and jigs using conventional tool room lathe & mill
8. Maintaining a professional and neat machine shop work area
9. Performing First Article Inspections for new parts and setups
10. Maintaining quality and safety standards
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Team oriented and trustworthy, a history of demonstrating good character and integrity (At least 2 Academic, Professional, or Faith based References are required with application)
2. Personal responsibility to take ownership of tasks and focus on achieving outcomes while avoiding distractions
3. Interpreting drawings and standard GD&T
4. High school diploma or GED
5. Experience operating CNC machine tools:
a. Level I: Minimum of 2 years operating CNC machining centers
b. Level II: Minimum of 5 years setting up and operating CNC machining centers
c. Level III: Minimum of 10 years setting up and operating CNC machinery
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be open to work variable schedules, including overtime or weekends as needed
2. Must be able to travel to local vendors & suppliers
3. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
4. Zero tolerance for drug or alcohol impairment
5. Willingness to be subject to a background check or drug testing
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Trade school graduate or other training certificate
2. Sound understanding of required speeds and feeds for various materials and cutting tools
3. Up to speed on the latest cutting tool technologies
4. Experience working on aircraft or spacecraft components
5. Working knowledge of machine shop preventative maintenance
6. Strong math, computer software, and decision-making skills
7. Good verbal communication skills
8. The ability to work independently or as part of a team, meeting aggressive schedules
COMPENSATION
Full Benefits package, including medical plan, dental, vision, 401K match, company holidays, vacation pay, sick pay
Level I: $24-26/Hour
Level II: $27-30/Hour
Level III: $30-35/Hour
ITAR REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must conform to U.S. Government technology export (ITAR) regulations. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
