One of Southern California’s leading replacement window and insulation companies is looking for a Construction Foreman to join their team in Chatsworth.
Summary: The Construction Foreman responsibility is to oversee a team of installers/contractors who install insulation materials for residential & commercial buildings. Typical activities are to estimate material and worker requirements to complete jobs, verify & implement the production schedule, review work orders & assign jobs to team members. In continuous communication with team of installers, account managers and customers to resolve any scheduling or change orders issues throughout the day. Construction Foreman is responsible & accountable for working with team of installers to complete all jobs on schedule on time & within budget, plus other necessary work as required by work orders. Occasionally visits job sites to examine and inspect work progress, and equipment in order to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
Responsibilities:
Review production schedule and make sure proper employees are assigned to appropriate job tasks.
Manage adjustments to schedule, communicate adjustments to others as needed.
Monitor operating performances of each team.
Prepare all necessary paperwork and record keeping for the production department.
Provide ongoing safety training and development for team members.
Consistently administer procedures, policies and work instruction.
Work with crew and other departments to continuously improve processes, quality and safety.
Reduce costs by reducing downtime & non-value activities.
Communicate daily with crew regarding safety, current issues, corrective actions, future and past performances.
Qualifications:
2+ years' experience of working on a Construction Foreman or other similar position.
Significant experience with construction procedures٫ equipment and OSH guidelines.
Excellent understanding of how to read and implement drawings٫ plans and blueprints.
Strong communication٫ organizational and leadership skills.
Strong math and problem-solving skills with an ability to report effectively.
Good physical condition and stamina.
High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade٫ such as electrician٫ carpenter or other.
