We are a pillow manufacturing company and are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting production machinery, replacing defective parts, and manufacturing parts as needed.
Main Functions and Responsibilities:
Contribute to the efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing corrective maintenance on pillow production machines and parts, following diagrams, schematics, operating manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and technical specifications.
Diagnose malfunctions and locate the source of problems by observing the operation of mechanical devices, listening for potential issues, and testing parts.
Remove defective parts by disassembling devices and replacing them with new or refurbished parts.
Manufacture repair parts using the instrumentation and equipment in the machine shop.
Collaborate in the planning of preventive maintenance for machinery, including the maintenance of internal parts, the cleaning of mechanical instruments, and the creation of a planned maintenance schedule in accordance with the production schedule.
Service the plant's electrical components.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, standards, and regulations.
Requirements:
Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems; chains and sprockets; air compressors; PLCs; engineering background (preferred).
Welding, fabrication, and metalworking skills.
Ability to lift and carry 11 to 34 kg daily.
2-3 years of experience as an industrial mechanic or in maintenance.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Lockout/Tagout protocols.
Schedule and Salary:
Starting Salary: $20/hour (based on experience).
Schedule: Shift: 1st / 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
