The Quality Assurance Manager/HACCP Coordinator will have direct responsibility for maintaining all HACCP documentation. This includes monitoring of all CCP’s (Critical Control Points), preventative control points paperwork and monitoring paperwork for any deviation to CCP’s. This position will be responsible to maintain all documents pertaining to our HACCP plan and Quality Systems ensuring that all programs and policies are current with Regulatory agency (USDA) and SQF. Quality Assurance Supervisor/HACCP Coordinator must complete projects on time and will be highly motivated to continuously seek ways to improve standards and processes by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job, an individual must be able to perform the following:
Review all Critical Control Point (CCP monitoring and verification records to ensure compliance with HACCP critical limits and frequencies, as required by the HACCP plan.
Review and evaluate all records for accuracy and completeness and determine need for process improvement.
Help develop and implement training plans for HACCP, GMP, SQF, allergen control, glass control, SSOP’s, SOP’s, and all required plant programs.
Perform mock recalls and ensure identification, labeling, and traceability system functions as planned
Schedule and conduct HACCP team meetings and required HACCP review
Ensure all food safety-related documents and records are controlled and that current issues are in use
Keep informed of food safety laws and regulations
Assures the compliance to company, customer, regulatory and consumer quality requirements
Aids the Quality Assurance staff and provides leadership in managing quality systems for all departments
Aids in the Developing of Quality Technicians through mentoring on HACCP/SQF programs
Participates in the SQF program, oversees facility compliance with customer quality programs, assists in third party and customer audits
Works closely with USDA inspectors
Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product
Formulate and maintain quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals
Assist Quality Assurance Manager in participating in audits and aids in the management HACCP and SSOP programs
Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures
Will assist when necessary to perform checks on the following: Scales, production lines setup, line QC’s operation, ingredients, product codes, accuracy of lot numbers and inventory of USDA controlled items
Aid and training for USDA pre-operational inspections
