Manufacturing company located in the City of Commerce, has an immediate opening for a QC Technician. This is a Direct Hire. Benefits include, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401K with a 5% match.
Schedule for this position is 6pm-6am Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and every other Wednesday 6pm-6am.
Position is responsible for verification of product quality through inspection of in-process product and observation of finished product for conformance to internal specifications, customer specifications as documented in the Quality Policy, within the mandates of the Quality Management System and supporting of the Quality Objectives (Critical Success Factors).
Duties:
1. Perform “First Article” inspection at initiation of manufacturing.
2. Collect and inspect all samples to assure that required dimensional, physical and visual requirements are
being verified and data is accurately recorded.
3. Perform required testing to verify conformance of product to requirements.
4. Record data as hard copy, electronically and in specified log books as required.
5. Initiate Non-Conformance reports as required.
6. Obtain and record retain and pre-shipment sample results as required.
7. Support activities for CAPA, NCR, and customer complaint investigations
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experienced in an ISO or FDA regulated industry a plus.
Familiarity in regulatory compliance regarding medical formulations and medical devices.
Familiarity with the Quality Manual and all procedures relative to the position.
Ability to use personal computer and software applications.
