Hours – 5:00 am – 1:30 pm; the first day only 8:30 am
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, protractor, and ruler.
Tack welds or welds components and assemblies using GTAW or GMAW techniques.
Inspects components before assembly, making sure they comply with manufacturing blueprints
Cuts workpiece using powered die grinders, hand grinders, and hand shears.
Be able to weld in multiple positions.
Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
Equipment Maintenance, performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Displays a basic mechanical aptitude. Familiar with equipment function and servicing requirements. Able to perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
Experience, Educational, and Physical Requirements:
High school diploma/GED preferred.
MIG, TIG, or Stick welding experience.
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in fabrication.
Must be able to read blueprints
Regular use of various hand-held and motorized tools and machinery is required.
Standing for extended periods is common.
Lifting of up to 50 pounds is required.
Must be able to pass E-verify / Background check / Drug test
