Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue is urgently seeking committed fosters to save dogs from high-kill shelters. By opening your home, you'll give a dog a second chance at life and experience the joy of being a part of their journey to finding a forever family.
We provide all supplies, food, and medical care, plus a stipend to cover gas for medical appointments and adoption events. Whether you can foster short-term or long-term, your help can make a life-saving difference.
What You Need to Know Before Fostering:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- No children under the age of 8 in the home.
- No small dogs or cats in the home (larger dogs are fine).
- Comfortable fostering larger dogs (50–90 lbs on average).
- Must be okay fostering shelter dogs with unknown backgrounds.
- Attendance at adoption events is mandatory: every other Saturday at Petco in West Hollywood (this is when supplies and stipends are provided).
- All roommates, family members, and landlords must approve fostering in advance.
Why Fostering Matters:
Every day, countless dogs face euthanasia due to overcrowded shelters. Fostering provides them with a safe, loving environment to decompress and heal. Some may need patience for things like potty training or adjusting to a home environment, but their transformations will warm your heart.
We are especially in need of long-term fosters who can commit to at least four weeks, ideally until the dog is adopted. However, if you can only foster for one or two weeks, we’d still love your help!
Ready to Make a Difference?
If you're serious about fostering and ready to commit, email us with:
- Your full name
- Phone number
- Personal email address (Craigslist generates a temporary email, so we need your real one).
Thank you for considering this life-saving opportunity! Fostering is a chance to make an extraordinary impact, one wagging tail at a time.
