DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Development Coordinator to join our team and help drive our fundraising efforts. As the Development Coordinator, you will work alongside our Founder & CEO and play a crucial role in prospecting opportunities, securing grants, cultivating relationships with funders, and helping to manage corporate partnerships.
Prospect Grants and Funders: Identify and research potential grant opportunities and funding prospects aligned with our organization's mission and programs.
Own the Grants Process: Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals and applications to secure funding from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporate donors. Create project budgets. Maintain an organized and up-to-date grant calendar to track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements. Hold weekly meetings with the CEO to go over upcoming grant applications as well as grant reporting deadlines, submission results, and more.
Prep for Funder Calls: Prepare comprehensive materials and presentations for funder meetings and calls, including background information, program updates, and impact metrics.
Manage Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all communication before and after funder calls, including sending predisposition materials, scheduling meetings, taking detailed notes during pitch meetings, and following up on action items.
Create Materials for Potential Funders: Develop high-quality marketing and promotional materials, such as brochures, presentations, and impact reports, to engage potential funders and donors.
Help manage Corporate Partner Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, and donors to maximize support for our organization's initiatives and programs. Facilitate volunteer activities for corporate partners.
You’re a fit, if you have:
A robust sense of ownership and the ability to work autonomously.
Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, communications, or development within the nonprofit sector.
Strong research skills with the ability to identify and pursue funding opportunities from diverse sources.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to churn out compelling grant proposals.
Aptitude for thriving in a fast-paced work environment with evolving requirements and priorities.
A genuine love of learning, constantly seeking new knowledge and insights to drive personal and professional growth.
Are detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Competitive salary commensurate with experience
Flexible work hours (10-20 hours a week) contract or part time to start.
