Under the supervision of the Facilities Coordinator, the employee is responsible for performing a variety of routine light maintenance/repairs on buildings, fixtures, furniture, and equipment to ensure these meet health and safety standards and agency's policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Able to perform minimal/light repairs/maintenance at childcare facilities, follow directions and instructions, ensure safety when doing job and following safety protocols at all times, must drive to and from childcare centers using company vehicle, complete projects timely, English/Spanish preferred. Some solid general maintenance experience making minor repairs, painting, and plumbing repairs and/or related experience.
Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, chemical instructions, operating and equipment/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
A California driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurer.
Ability to physically perform all duties of the job and perform job safely, with reasonable accommodations if necessary, without endangering the health of safety of him/herself or others.
Ability to respond to emails and use electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets, etc.
Ability to work independently, identifying maintenance needs and doing the necessary jobs without constant supervision.
