Looking to make a real difference? Fostering a dog is one of the most rewarding things you can do. At Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue, we rescue dogs of all breeds from high-risk shelters before they’re euthanized, and we place them into loving foster homes while they wait for their forever families.
We need long-term fosters for medium breed dogs:
RUBY & LUCY - This Shepherd mix duo are both around 4 years old. They must be fostered as a pair as they are very bonded. They also must be the only dogs/pets in the home and although they are very sweet with humans, they will do best in a home with out children.
PANCHO - 4 1/2 year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix. He is good natured, very sweet with people and does great with middle to large dogs.
TIGER - Happy, healthy, and playful—loves people! Trained, but still working on leash reactivity (needs a confident handler). Best as the only pet in the home. Ideal for someone comfortable with medium-large dogs and committed to training.
BARNABUS - 1-year-old Cocker Spaniel / Terrier mix. Full of personality and spunk. Needs a foster who will uphold boundaries and reinforce training. Doesn’t like to share toys—respects space and enjoys solo time. Great match for an active home that appreciates individuality.
We’re a fully foster-based rescue – we don’t have a facility. That means we can’t save more dogs unless we have more fosters. Right now, we’re urgently looking for kind, reliable people in the Los Angeles area to help us save lives.
We provide all food, supplies, and medical care. You provide a safe, loving home and help show these dogs what it means to be cared for.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY – THESE ARE OUR REQUIREMENTS:
✅ Must be 21 or older
✅ Must already have ALL approval from landlords, roommates, family, etc. Please do not reach out unless you’re 100% sure you’re able to bring a dog into your home
✅ Must be able to attend adoption events and supply pickups at Petco in West Hollywood every other Saturday. These are required
✅ Must be able to transport the dog to and from vet appointments as needed
✅ Must be able to commit to at least 4 weeks of fostering. If you can only help short-term (a few days up to a week), we still need you – please reach out

Fostering gives dogs a second chance. You’ll help them come out of their shell, learn to trust again, and find the loving homes they deserve.
