This opportunity is for someone to work part time at our Transitional House and also have your own private room.
We are looking to hire an amazing on-site House Manager.
Our company specializes in assisting women with transitional housing that delivers temporary shared room beds, with enhanced services to help people achieve permanent housing and overcome barriers.
House manager at a transitional housing program, your responsibilities may include a wide range of duties aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of the facility and providing support to residents in their transition to more permanent housing.
Here is a list of common job duties for a house manager at a transitional housing program:
Resident Support: Develop individualized service plans for each resident. - Monitor residents' progress and provide feedback and encouragement.
Facility Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, including maintenance, chores, room inspections and house meetings and hosting events.
- Manage inventory and supplies for the property
Crisis Intervention: - Handle crisis situations that may arise among residents, such as conflicts or emergencies. - Implement appropriate crisis intervention strategies and protocols. - Coordinate with external agencies or emergency services as needed.
Community Engagement: - Develop partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and service providers to support residents. - Organize community events, workshops, or activities for residents. - Advocate for residents' needs and rights within the community.
Administration: - Maintain accurate records of resident information, progress, and services provided. - Complete case notes in data base and collect documentation.
Marketing- Posting positive messages on social media and managing donations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.- Knowledge of organization skills, payroll processing, prepare taxes, bookkeeping, marketing on social media, creating flyers and fundraising experience is a plus. Part-Time Position Schedule;
Work Shift- Saturday (7.5),Sundays (7.5), Monday(7.5) and Wednesday (7.5)- We are open to changing weekdays if needed.
Must Have's:
Positive, effective, and professional (oral and written) communications and interactions with a wide range of individuals.
Proven ability to interact, problem-solve and mediate in a positive and constructive manner, including during emergency and stressful situations.
Ability to successfully prioritize and execute multiple tasks and/or projects
Flexibility, such as regarding work setting, schedule, responsibilities, clients, and colleagues, and assistance with emergency situations as needed.
Ability to meet Form I-9 requirements, with appropriate supporting documentation of the right to lawfully work in the U.S.
Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
