A growing construction company is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position offers great learning opportunities in both accounting and construction office administration. We are looking for a motivated individual who can manage tasks efficiently and contribute to the overall success of our accounting operations. Key Responsibilities:
-Perform general office duties such as filing, organizing, and maintaining accounting and administrative records.
-Assist with accounts payable, payroll processing, and basic bookkeeping using QuickBooks and Excel.
-Support the Controller with daily accounting functions and administrative tasks.
-Collect timesheets from field staff and assist in processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
-Track and manage project compliance documents, including lien waivers and certified payroll.
-Provide administrative support to human resources tasks, such as employee record management and onboarding (HR experience a plus, but not required).
-Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction office environment.
Requirements:
-Accounting degree OR at least 2 years of experience in a construction office environment.
-Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
-Energetic, self-motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
-Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
-Some human resources experience is a plus, but not required.
