ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review impound accounts for pick up / opposition
Assigning vehicle to repossession
Recovery of seized vehicle, following State and Federal Guidelines
Negotiate settlement on storage / repair charges
Authorize / track lien opposition for resolution
Coordinate research of 3rd party lien statuses
Maintain effective communication with repossession agents, collection and other internal departments.
Making payment arrangements with customers
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & LICENSES:
Detail-oriented, ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate PC skills; ability to work with multiple platforms.
Familiarity with vehicle values, reconditioning cost / benefits, and wholesale remarketing channels desirable
Ability to understand and interpret state-specific laws on third-party liens for storage and repairs.
Good interpersonal skills and teamwork awareness.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous work experience in consumer credit or banking, preferably in automotive finance, impounds or repossessions is helpful.
