Job Summary
This position helps qualify applicants for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits within established guidelines. Responsibilities include telephone screening, requesting medical records, completing applications, follow-up with applicants and county workers for successful completion of cases, submitting applications to appropriate offices, and updating information in computer database, and performs miscellaneous related duties as needed.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
1-2 years of customer service experience; preferably in a healthcare environment or any combo of experience, education or training
A desire to help others
Strong phone skills
Basic office skills and computer literacy required
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to adapt and manage change in a fast-paced
Must be able to type 30 wpm
Working Title: Case Manager I
Pay rate: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour (Depending on Relevant Experience)
Position Type: Full-time; Non-Exempt
Schedule: Alternative Work Week Schedule : Mon-Thur 7:30am-5:00pm & Fri 7:30am-12:30pm
Other: We conduct assessment testing and post offer background checks
