As my Personal Assistant, you will handle a variety of tasks that allow me to focus on my creative and business ambitions. You will work closely with the CEO (that’s me), learn something new each day, and create work that impacts millions of lives each year - helping people show up everyday with their full potential daily both in front of the camera and in real life.

About the Role: Personal Assistant

Join my dynamic team as a Personal Assistant where you will play a pivotal role in both the personal and professional life of David Suh. This position demands a versatile and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is capable of handling a diverse set of responsibilities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that David's day-to-day operations are seamless and that he can focus on his creative endeavors without the burden of administrative or logistical distractions.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Support: Take charge of daily logistics, including managing schedules, appointments, and personal errands. You will ensure that David is prepared for each day, optimizing his energy and focus for creative tasks.

Communication Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all forms of communication. Manage emails, coordinate calls, and liaise with collaborators, ensuring that all interactions are handled with discretion and professionalism.

Project and Studio Support: Assist in the setup and management of the studio, preparing for shoots and events. Oversee specific projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with strategic goals and are executed flawlessly.

Adaptive Role Management: Given the start-up nature of our business, you will need to be highly adaptable, handling various "kitchen sink" duties that range from the mundane to the critical, all aimed at supporting David’s productivity and the business’s growth.

About Me

You’ll be working very closely with me in this role, so it's only fitting to share a bit about myself before you proceed with your application.

I’m doing my best to help others celebrate their beauty and identity, both professionally and personally, through my photography and content. I believe everyone deserves to feel seen and heard as the person they are, who they were, and who they want to be and my greatest purpose is showing people how capable they are of that. And that it’s never too late to start.

I’m a bullet train. I like to move fast - really fast. My ideas and ambitions only grow bolder as I create more impact within the world, my community, my team, my close relationships, and myself. I got to where I am by trusting my one truth - my heart and I am determined to follow it to the end.

I started off as a passionate photographer in undergrad at UC Davis making enough to get by. Then I built myself my first portrait photography brand and studio, David Suh Photography, in my 1-bedroom college apartment. I learned quickly that my value didn’t come from producing better photographs as a photographer but being of better service from the whole person that I am that genuinely cares about my clients. Following that, I went from my college apartment to signing a 3-year commercial lease in Sacramento where I not only found success within my business but I also found my global audience of people that shared my values on social media. I was recognized as AdWeek’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” and “Technology Creator of the Year” in 2022.

Thereafter, I moved to LA and found a new home for my photography studio where I also teach, inspire, and educate daily to an audience of over 6.5M+ people. I created a course to teach people at scale how to define beauty for themselves while celebrating it. I got signed with one of the most influential talent agency, CAA, where I work with global brands and in the process of writing a book. More recently, I started a new portrait photography studio named DASU Studios to create an even more mindful space for guests and clients to connect deeper to themselves through tea, workshops, and photoshoots.

Along the way I experienced what it means to be persistent at your dreams, to nurturing an incredible online audience through my values, and then building a higher point than I had ever imagined by surrounding myself with a team I can trust.

I’m not 100% sure what will happen next.

But I’m 100% sure it’s going to be an exhilarating ride.

Compensation, Location & Perks:

Compensation: $65,000 plus bonus (depending on performance)

Location: Between Koreatown and Silverlake, Los Angeles.

Hybrid: While I need you to be in Los Angeles – making our in-person collaborations seamless – I value flexibility. As we

establish our working dynamic, we may explore some remote work options, but expect to be on-site regularly.

Travel: Our mission might sometimes take us around the US and the world. Rest assured, all your travel expenses will be taken care of.

Growth Opportunities: As you find your groove and excel in your role, we will consider adding additional support to amplify our collective efforts. However, there are no promises as usual with a start-up.
