POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a full time Shipping Coordinator to play an integral part of our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for packing, shipping, and logistics of all orders. Be responsible for ensuring our products arrive to our customers in a timely manner, without damages. To be successful in this role, the employee must demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, willingness to learn and strong team player with a strong aesthetic and design sense is a must.

This is a full-time, 100% on site position in our DTLA studio. Work schedule will generally follow our regular business hours of Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. This is a non-exempt position that requires flexible work schedules and occasional overtime as business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

● Pack all orders as efficiently as possible, whilst simultaneously prioritizing breakage prevention

● Receive and process return shipments

● Handles shipping process from start to finish, create shipping labels, pack

Product & orders, coordinate with shipping carrier to schedule pickups

● Use Shopify to create shipping labels, accurately pack each item on order, and

track shipments

● Handle all domestic and international shipping, including knowledge of International shipping/duty/customs paperwork

● Schedule LTL freight shipment, work side by side with freight shipment companies including UPS/FedEx

● Experience with EDI, create UPCs for products that are ordered via EDI transmission and facilitate EDI procedures from start to finish

● Communicate shipping methods and rates for larger orders (via datatrans

● Prepare for tradeshow shipments and palletizations

● Work side by side with freight shipment companies, as well as UPS/FedEx

● Maintain good communication and relationships with customers, clients and shipping carriers

● Troubleshoot shipping issues and offer solutions

● Creates, promotes and sustains a culture of cleanliness and safety in the Shipping Area

● Requires ability to lift large and heavy packages

● Must be physically capable of safely lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance

● Occasional local travel may be required with mileage reimbursement

● Other job-related duties and ad hoc projects as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

● Up to 3+ years of experience handling inventory, specifically fragile products.

● Good understanding of Shopify and EDI

● Strong work ethics and excellent attention to detail

● Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills

● Self-directed, dependable, energetic, highly motivated, and outcome-oriented

● Time management and the ability to work to deadlines

● Ability to pivot quickly, jump from project to project based on studio needs

● Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and excellent record-keeping and documentation skills

● Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with all personality types and behaviors, flexibility

● Be a team player, self-starter, willing to take initiatives and provide ideas for solutions or improvements

● Exhibits a willingness to learn and adapt, is flexible to change and open to try new approaches or processes

● Strong work ethics, excellent attention to detail and ability to spot even minor defects

● Ability to work flexible hours or days to meet the needs of the business as necessary

Pay Range: $20-$25/hour, depending on experience
