Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Duration: Full Time Direct Hire/ Contract/ Contract to Hire

Client Note:
Juniors- Mid level engineers can apply for this position, the client would consider someone with basic development knowledge.
Candidates from ecommerce retail background would be preferred.
Knowledge on salesforce commerce cloud or any other Platform is highly preferred
This is a Hands-on technical role, so any development background would be preferred.

Job Description:

• Participate in the design and development of new templates and future functionality
• Understand the commerce cloud integrations and perform code updates for the new development initiatives as per the design specifications
• Participate in peer reviews and maintain versions in the code repositories
• Perform necessary analysis for the given technical requirement and collaborate with other developers in the team for the development process
• Establishes development best practices for web updates
• Works with team members to develop and maintain standalone jobs
• Provide necessary documentations to assist the production releases and perform support handoffs
• Works with business partners to gain understanding of design web site functionality and improvements needed to business processes
• Performs other job duties as needed

• Bachelor s degree preferred, preferably in Computer Science
• 2-4 years experience in development environments with Salesforce Commerce Cloud or any platform. SFCC developer certification is preferred
• Experience in implementing integration cartridges, service framework and open commerce APIs
• Hands on experience with commerce cloud technologies such as using script APIs, controllers/pipelines, ISML templates, job frameworks, business manager configurations
• Good understanding of Salesforce commerce cloud business manager functions
• Proficient in web development technologies include HTML, Javascript/Common JS modular programming, node js, JQuery, AMPScripting, JSON data manipulation with good understanding of responsive UI frameworks such as JQuery UI/Bootstrap
• Experience with RESTful web services, GIT code repo management and developer productivity tools such as Postman, Gulp tools, SOAPUI, Eclipse, VS Code, SFTP/WebDAV clients
• Knowledge with server side programming on Java/J2EE, JSP and database programming with PL/SQL is preferred
• Server Software knowledge in Apache, Windows 2000, Unix (AIX or other), Linux and other Java application servers
• Displays creative problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator
• Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure
• Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues
