We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Independent Contractor Pop Up Shop/Art & Craft Booth associates. In this role, you will engage with customers, promote our unique products, and create a welcoming atmosphere that showcases our craft at various shows within the California region. This position is ideal for those who enjoy interacting with people, traveling around and seeing different events.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their needs.
- Conduct pop up events to showcase the features and benefits of our crafts.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing booth space, ensuring all products are well-stocked and displayed effectively.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including utilizing math for sales processing.
- Supervise booth operations during events, ensuring compliance with company policies including maintaining inventory logs and maintaining a safe environment.
- Setup and take down of the booth which will require strenuous activity that may include lifting up to 50lbs and sometimes walking significant distances.
- You must have your own vehicle to transport items and be willing to travel in the CA region where gas/lodging will be reimbursed/provided upon discussion. Punctuality is critical and you must be able to show up on time at the agreed upon events.
- A majority of events run Saturday and Sunday with some events going Friday to Sunday or Wednesday to Sunday. These typically start early and can end late.
Experience:
- Previous experience in sales is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer interaction.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels effectively.
- A majority of our customers are children so a love to interact with families and children is helpful.
