Fast growing women's wholesale apparel company is looking to add a temporary production assistant to the team based in downtown Los Angeles in the Fashion District. This is a full time position with an opportunity to become permanent. Hourly salary starts from $20 to $28/hr based on experience plus PTO and parking benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage sampling process from fitting to submitting TOPs
- Submit new orders to overseas factories
- Track orders through production to ensure on time delivery
- Maintain database of purchase orders and follow through with delivery dates
- Assist in showroom needs
Preferred Skills:
- At least 2 years of experience in apparel
- Vendor or manufacturer experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of fabric, garment construction, measurements, and fitting
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills
- Task-driven and detail-oriented with efficiency
- Highly proactive and analytical with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and is a self-starter and quick learner
- Excellent skill in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Bilingual in Chinese is a plus
