Assistant IT Budget Analyst/Coordinator – Long Beach
Sierra Cybernetics is seeking an Assistant IT Budget Analyst/Coordinator to work for us supporting our Port of Long Beach client.
You will provide administrative, budgetary, and IT coordination support under limited supervision in a fast-paced public sector environment.
Position is full-time, fully on-site in downtown Long Beach. You must be a US citizen or green card holder.
Key Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices, track budgets, and monitor contract spending
Create and maintain financial tracking spreadsheets and purchase orders
Assist with procurement and vendor remittance updates
Draft memos, reports, and presentations for executive review
Use City financial systems (MUNIS, Simpler Reports)
Support CIO and coordinate across departments and vendors
Maintain organized electronic records and documentation
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, finance, communication, or related field (experience may substitute year-for-year)
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Familiarity with public sector financial or IT environments a plus
Desirable: ITIL Foundation Certification
Note: Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree on a year-for-year basis
