We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician. We install commercial IP Security cameras, Access Control, Fire Alarm, ERRCS / DAS, and other data systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various low voltage technologies, ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients. Our primary business is new construction multi-family and hotels.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems including Ethernet networks, security systems, and telecommunications equipment.
Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
Perform fiber splicing and ensure proper connections for optimal system performance.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide field service support as required.
Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all installations and maintenance tasks.
Stay updated on the latest technologies in low voltage systems to provide informed recommendations to clients.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role in the field service industry.
Proficient in using hand tools and testing equipment including voltmeters.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
