Job Description
Our client's mission is to connect California to the world-advancing education and research statewide by providing the world-class network essential for innovation, collaboration, and economic growth. This nonprofit organization operates a high-capacity network designed to meet the unique requirements of over 20 million users, including the California K-12 system, California Community Colleges, the California State University system, California's Public Libraries, the University of California system, Stanford, Caltech, and USC.
They are looking to bring on a Systems Engineer with a basic Linux Admin skillset and hands-on experience leveraging Kubernetes. The Senior Systems Engineer designs, builds, implements, and supports elegant systems and systems infrastructure solutions to advance their organizational goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with Kubernetes. The position provides advanced-level technical expertise, as well as escalation support, for all managed systems, infrastructure, and services. Experience with System Engineering, Ansible, Bash/Python, Kubernetes+, Gitlab, and AWS are heavily preferred. The candidate will have to maintain communication with users, upper management and vendors to ensure the systems are functioning properly.
Expectation - Not going back to Office until end of the Year.
