We are looking for a part time on-call marine biologist to support our monitoring and reporting programs around the LA/LB area. Mush have a B.S or B.A in an environmental science, i.e., Biology, Oceanography, Environmental Studies, etc. Job duties may range from collecting water, sediment, soil, and/or biological samples from land or on the water, to monitoring construction projects for environmental compliance. Primarily a field position with limited reporting. Must have prior marine scientific field experience, and competency with standard programs like Excel and Word. GIS is optional. Experience driving boats and/or SCUBA preferred.
This is not a lab position, therefore we are not accepting CVs or resumes from applicants with exclusively biotech and/or clinical laboratory experience. Must be a field biologist to be considered.
