MDSS provides the services of General Contracting, Design-Build Engineering, Installation of Hygienic Process and Industrial Equipment and Piping systems.

About the Role:
MDSS is looking for a Project Managers and Project Engineers to join our team based in Downey, CA.
The Project Manager/Engineer will work with customers to design and install new systems, upgrade existing systems, plan and coordinate the execution of project activities using our field-crew personnel and other outside vendors.
This role will require the candidate to build skills and experience within our specialty, including industrial process systems, commercial construction, relationship building, excellent planning capabilities, project management and documentation of processes.
The ability to: “make a plan”, “identify and prioritize critical tasks” and “assemble a timeline” are what we are looking for.
Field work and travel will be primarily based in Southern California and occasionally throughout California.
Salary:
Base Range: $90,000 – $130,000 annually, plus incentive programs based on performance.

What you’ll do:
Learn our Specialties in serving the Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage Industries.
Lead and manage multiple projects, supported by project teams.
Listen attentively, consider thoroughly, and follow directions well.
Cooperate with other managers to learn our specialty specifics.
Adhere to Safety guidelines, understand good practice and PPE requirements.
Work a combination of days and weekends as needed to complete a project. Overtime when required to meet project deadlines.
Take ownership of your projects.
You have: (preferred)
Advanced education.
Previous experience of managing and executing projects, in similar industry.
Field experience working with Superintendents and work crews.
Experience creating work plans for work crews or trades.
Knowledge of process piping systems and/or other related processes.
Knowledge of schedules, documentation, validation.
Knowledge of welding and process piping process, an asset.
