GSSi, Inc., a 4th generation family owned security company headquartered in Wilmington CA is seeking full-time and part-time armed security officers for an enclosed facility in Lincoln Heights. There are 2 openings, 1 full-time and 1 part-time.
Basic Duties:
1. Maintain presence/observation/surveillance of key areas
2. Complete daily report of activity and observations
3. Detex Patrols
4. Enforce client policies
5. Access control
6. Respond to calls for service
7. Deter criminal activity
Pay Rate: $21.50 with $.50 cent per hour non-taxable firearm maintenance allowance = $22.00 per hr combined pay.
Full-time schedule: Wednesday through Sunday, 9am-7pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch. Total of 9 working hours, includes 1 hour at 1.5 OT rate.
Part-time schedule: Monday/Tuesday, 9am-7pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch. Total of 9 working hours, includes 1 hour at 1.5 OT rate.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Valid BSIS guard card and firearm permit
2. Ability to work weekends, holidays, OT
3. Reliable transportation to and from the job site
4. Ability to walk, stand, sit for extended periods
5. Good customer service skills
6. Good written/verbal communication skills
7. Must own your own firearm (.38, 9mm, .40, .45, ammunition provided)
8. Must have 1 year experience as an armed officer.
GSSi will provide uniforms, and duty gear as needed.
