GSSi, Inc., a 4th generation family owned security company established in 1944, has an opening for a uniformed Account Manager to oversee an account in the south Los Angeles area. This position requires wearing a security uniform. The Account Manager manages a team of security personnel assigned to vehicle and bike patrols and spends approx. 70% of their time in the field and 30% handling administrative duties. This position is not entry-level and requires strong management/supervision experience in the security industry.
Pay: $29.00 per hour. Account managers who meet performance expectations are also eligible for a monthly financial incentive.
Shift: 7:30am-4:00pm Dayshift Monday through Friday
Basic Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that contractual obligations are being met and/or exceeded.
2. Maintain strong relationships with both external and internal customers.
3. Give guidance to security personnel and ensure all personnel are meeting expectations.
4. Handle minor disciplinary actions and investigations with management oversight.
5. Conduct and assess training of security personnel.
6. Assist with maintenance of company equipment which includes radios, uniforms, E-Bikes, and vehicles.
7. Serve as liaison between client, GSSi, and various stakeholders.
8. Meet with client and GSSi management monthly or as requested.
9. Assist GSSi scheduling manager/dispatch with handling schedule changes, call offs, events.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Valid State of CA BSIS Guard Card.
2. Valid State of CA Driver's License.
3. Ability to work holidays, weekends, OT if needed.
4. At least 3 years of supervisory and account management experience in the security industry.
5. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint
6. Proficient with smart phones, tablets, laptop/desktop computers
7. Ability to qualify for Street Patrol Officer permit
8. Baton Permit (must obtain within 90 days)
9. Pepper Spray Permit (must obtain within 90 days)
10. Ability to operate an E-Bike
11. Ability to operate a company patrol vehicle.
12. Ability to maintain composure when dealing with difficult or stressful situations
13. Ability to train and mentor others
14. Ability to walk, stand, crouch, sit for extended periods.
