Position Summary
The Security Field Supervisor plays a key leadership role within GSSi’s field operations, ensuring that all security personnel, patrol routes, and fixed posts meet company and client standards. This position supports a diverse portfolio of clients, including major retail centers, Business Improvement Districts, residential patrol accounts, and private property sites.
The Field Supervisor acts as the eyes and ears of the Operations Department in the field—coordinating staff, inspecting posts, providing guidance, responding to incidents, and maintaining the professionalism and reliability that define the GSSi standard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct routine field inspections of security officers on duty to ensure compliance with company policy, appearance standards, and post orders.
Provide on-the-spot coaching, corrective action, and guidance to field personnel to ensure consistent performance and service quality.
Respond promptly to incidents, client requests, and emergencies, providing support and accurate documentation.
Monitor staffing and attendance at assigned locations; assist with coverage for call-offs, late arrivals, or high-priority posts.
Complete Field Activity Reports, Daily Patrol Logs, and Inspection Reports in TrackTik (or assigned platform).
Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections to maintain patrol fleet readiness and professionalism.
Serve as the liaison between clients, guards, and management, ensuring all service issues are addressed quickly and respectfully.
Support the Operations team with training and evaluation of new hires.
Report and document all safety hazards, client concerns, and performance deficiencies promptly.
Enforce GSSi policies, BSIS regulations, and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid BSIS Guard Card required;
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (company vehicle is provided).
Minimum 2 years of professional security experience with 1 year of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear reports and give concise direction.
Familiarity with TrackTik or similar patrol software strongly preferred.
Must be flexible and available for nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation as needed.
Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with GSSi standards.
Experience scheduling security officers for call offs, open shifts.

Ability to stand, walk, or drive for extended periods.
