General Statement of Job
SIS maintains a 24 x 7 x 365 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) in Culver City with full-spectrum capability that currently supports both our clients and SIS resources worldwide. To accomplish this mission, SIS staffs a minimum of three personnel at all times and uses a variety of contemporary systems to conduct alarm monitoring, video monitoring, access control, asset tracking, case management, and resource scheduling. This team can assist with web-based support tools, business continuity support, (retaining plans and call tree activation) and can also execute failover plans as needed.
The GSOC Operator, under the guidance of the GSOC Management group, is responsible for tracking SIS operations as well as monitoring the safety and security of SIS employees, facilities, and clients. Using a variety of tools that range from Salesforce (proprietary database) to GPS-tracking systems, access control, and mapping software, the GSOC Operator is primarily tasked with fulfilling the group’s database-entry and communication triage responsibilities.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
Assist SIS Retail in staffing guards in North America
Log all Special Operations mission information into the proprietary SIS database
Support all SIS divisions by triaging calls, anticipating operational issues, fielding customer complaints, running reports, training on Salesforce, and manipulating relevant Softwares
Support company employees in all concerns that pertain to safety and security
Conduct ongoing review of multiple systems and sources to detect technical issues
Maintain and update according to information security best practices documentation on system-related passwords, IP/Mac addresses, physical security hardware placements, system update history, ETC for all security system peripherals
Research and test new security technologies, systems, equipment, components, and products
Manage SIS employee access control
Monitor SIS office CCTV camera and escalate intrusions or abnormal activity as needed
Respond, within reason, in a timely fashion to any (responsible) system failures
Investigate GPS-related and access control alarms and escalate appropriately
Check out/in and maintain SIS assets
Assist in SIS-led robotics integration and control
Present complex risk scenarios to corporate managers upon request
Pay Rate: $21+/HR DOE
Must be ok with working weekends.
