Job Title: Security Guard (1099 Position) - Traxx Bar and Restaurant, Union Station
Traxx Bar and Restaurant, located at the heart of Union Station, is seeking an experienced, friendly, and assertive Security Guard to join our team! We pride ourselves on providing top-notch service in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a team player who can contribute to the overall guest experience while ensuring the safety and security of our patrons and staff.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers and provide a friendly, safe environment
Assist staff with tasks such as bussing tables, moving furniture, etc. when needed and helps mop and put chairs up at the end of the night.
Ability to deal with transients and homeless roaming the station, trying to disturb bar patrons.
Maintain a vigilant presence in and around the premises, deterring any potential security threats
Deescalate any conflicts or confrontations that may arise
Take appropriate action when necessary to ensure the safety of our guests and staff
Report any incidents or suspicious activities to management promptly
Requirements:
Valid Guard Card and other things necessary to perform guard duties in Los Angeles, California
Prior experience in a security role, preferably in a hospitality setting but not necessary. A good personality supersedes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to maintain a professional, friendly demeanor while being assertive when necessary
Proven track record of honesty, integrity, and reliability
Service-oriented mindset and willingness to assist in various tasks as needed
Ability to handle stressful situations and respond effectively to emergencies
