First and foremost, our particular product line is not that technical, it certainly doesn’t require the skills of an engineer. If you worked in a restaurant and can operate the equipment for sous vide, or if you can fix a bicycle - you would be an excellent candidate for this position.
We have previously had success in the 30 year history with individuals that came from restaurant/food service, including a waitstaff person that reached a compensation level of over $200K by the sixth year with the company. If you are comfortable speaking to people, face-to-face, as well as on the phone, this could be an ideal opportunity for you. This is a sales position with the opportunity to move from working with individuals, to working with major multinational companies.
There is some level of travel required; if you are not capable of leaving to visit Texas, Toronto, or Minneapolis in less than a weeks notice, three to four times a year – this is not the position for you. If you are an unencumbered person that would welcome even more travel, this may easily be the position for you.
Requirements:
4 year degree in a field that requires written, communication(History, English, or marketing from a business school) would be a major plus
Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven customer support experience
Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
