IT Infrastructure Supervisor

IT INFRASTRUCTURE SUPERVISOR – SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

Sierra Cybernetics is seeking a knowledgeable IT Infrastructure Supervisor to work for us supporting our City of Santa Ana client. This position reports to Santa Ana’s IT Infrastructure Manager.

You will be responsible for working with all City Department Managers to assess, coordinate, implement and provide leadership supporting each Department’s infrastructure needs toward meeting the City's strategic technology goals and objectives. You will organize, plan, and direct the work of technical personnel supporting the City's computer networks, servers, workstations, backup and storage systems, security, Internet connectivity, e-mail, and application systems.

Work is fully on-site in downtown Santa Ana.

This is a full-time contract position, expected to be one year or more, with potential to transition to a full-time City employee.

Open to US citizens and green card holders. Not open to personnel requiring sponsorship to work in the US.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field OR a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

5+ years of progressively responsible experience managing or administering at least a medium sized corporate network.

1+ year as a project lead or team leader is highly desirable.

Contract administration and vendor direction experience.

Knowledge of Information Technology principles and procedures necessary to fully support an enterprise wide computer network and associated computer systems.

o Support of networks running MS Windows servers and workstations utilizing MS Active Directory, Exchange, Office, SharePoint, SQL, IIS, SCCM, and VMWare virtual servers.

o Installation, configuration, administration, and support of computer systems, networks and associated equipment, servers, workstations, peripherals.

o Hardware and software security practices and procedures (including PCI compliancy).

o Project planning and management methods.

o Prepare clear and concise program documentation, user procedures, and other written materials.

o Exercise independent judgment within established guidelines.

o Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, end users, vendors, and contractors.
