Hourly pay range: $40 - $75 depending on experience
Boutique IT consulting, engineering/implementation, and support firm is seeking two (2) 1099 independent contractors for on-call work in service of our clients. We specialize in law firms but also service the SMB market generally. The ideal person(s) will have their own clients and/or another income stream because this opportunity will start slow and with a gradual increase in the number of hours per week. Potential for future full-time employment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level and second-level technical support to end-users via phone, remote session, email, and/or in-person.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including operating systems and applications.
- Perform proactive maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance.
- Utilize project management software to manage and complete projects.
- Collaborate with team members on disaster recovery / backup implementation, management, and support.
- Analyze user needs and recommend appropriate solutions or upgrades.
- Maintain documentation of issues, solutions, and processes for future reference.
Skills:
- Windows Server, VMware ESXi, Windows, macOS, hardware, networking, firewalls, WiFi, VPNs, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, MS-Office, Adobe Acrobat, HorneSecurity, Retrospect, and more.
- Experience with Atera, Splashtop, IT Glue, Monday.com any/all and/or similar a big PLUS.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery processes and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills to assess problems effectively and provide solutions.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with users at all levels.
