We are searching for a skilled and collaborative Assistant Video Editor to support the production of high-quality video content across a range of projects. What You’ll Do
Edit video content for podcast episodes, sizzle reels, product videos, events, conferences, and interviews.
Ingest, organize, and manage footage to maintain a clean and efficient workflow.
Collaborate with clients, talent, and the Hacker Valley production team to create engaging and polished video content.
Build and prep Adobe Premiere Pro projects for editors, ensuring smooth handoffs and efficient workflows.
Perform basic motion graphics work using tools like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Fusion.
Maintain Hacker Valley Media’s production processes and file organization across departments, correcting inconsistencies as needed.
Support staff and contract editors by delivering footage, assets, and project files.
Some travel as needed to support on-site video shoots and events.
What You’ll Need
Required Experience
A demo reel or 3 examples of edited content showcasing your skills.
1-3 years of professional editing experience with Adobe Premiere Pro.
Proficiency in MacOS operating systems and Adobe Photoshop.
Short and long-form editing experience, with a solid understanding of storytelling.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience quickly ingesting and organizing footage in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to track and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Understanding of file naming conventions and best practices for file management.
Desired but Not Required Experience
Editing narrative content, feature films, or documentary projects.
Experience with long-form social content (e.g., podcasts) and short-form, attention-grabbing social media content.
Proficiency in After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Fusion.
