Shooting a short film in the beginning of May with a 3 day schedule. Need an experienced D.P. and Sound Person. I have specific dates in mind but until I can discuss the schedule and shot list with my D.P., I won't be locking in those dates officially. We will be shooting a day in town, both in Chatsworth and Winnetka for two scenes. Then 2 days in Palmdale. Travel, meals and accommodations will be provided. The bulk of the production will be inside an SUV with a few scenes in the exterior desert. All the locations have already been scouted so I know exactly where the setups will be.
This is a non-union, micro-budget shoot with minimal crew and a cast of two. I myself have worked in the industry since 2003 but have taken the last few years away to concentrate on writing and making may own projects. This is the first one out of the gate with more to come. I understand set protocol, logistics of shooting and art direction quite well so even though this is a smaller shoot, it will not be a fly-by-night, chaotic experience as many of us film workers have experienced in one capacity or another.
This will also be a paying gig and the offer here is my final one as this is self-financed and budgeted very carefully. The job includes the three paid days and one unpaid day of prep.
