Client Network Associate - Disappearing Task Force

Disappearing Task Force is an ad-hoc title given to associates that are responsible for building client networks and promoting the work of a film and media composer in Los Angeles.

Compensation is commission-based, however rates are exceptionally competitive. For the skilled and ambitious, there is potential to build a high-earning career, depending on the energy and creativity invested.

About:

The responsibilities of networking and sourcing opportunity have transformed into a full-time job for many contractors in media and production, with the creative act being steadily eclipsed by representative, promotional and administrative tasks that would otherwise be performed more effectively (and at a larger scale) by skilled professionals.

Forged out of a partnership between two freelancers that wanted to expand beyond the limitations imposed by conventional (and often tedious) person-to-person networking, Disappearing Task Force has proven to be an effective strategy for increasing workload, while freeing up time for creators to do what they do best (create).

Talented folks with a background in media, an intuitive understanding of where and how things happen in their industry, and an enthusiasm for connecting with other professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Candidates should possess:

- A thorough understanding of film and media production, with knowledge specifically related to the advertising, online media, television and film spaces.

- A keen intuition for navigating the social topography of the aforementioned industries, as well as the ability to establish meaningful connections while building professional networks.

- The ability to think and act strategically when existing contacts may not be at one's disposal; the know-how to adapt quickly and build relationships from the ground up.

- The ability to advocate on behalf of the composer, and to generate interest in their work with thoughtfulness and creativity.

This is a fully remote position. There are no set working hours and no managers. Only a simple set of goals to work toward at your own pace, utilizing your own unique approach. While the nature of the work is ongoing, it is fluid enough to be performed as an extra source of income, or as a lucrative, full-time career.

The associate position is best suited for self-starters; those individuals who are able to establish a goal, pick a point on the horizon, and methodically push toward it. It is for those with the vision to find value in unexpected places, and the optimism to know the wealth of opportunity that surrounds them at a given moment.
