DP/Production company owner with extra capacity inside our well-established (since 2005)
post/insert studio facility is seeking a cooperative business relationship with a Producer,
Editor(s) and or Production Co. who would like to live and work in Santa Barbara, CA.
This is a great opportunity for the right person/business entity who wants to be close enough to
LA/Hollywood to stay connected to clients while enjoying the quality of life the SB central coast
offers such as nature, beaches, clean air, great public schools, wine country, etc. (or if you’re
already located in the Santa Barbara area).
In this era of our ability to work more remotely, home is not always the most conducive
location for peace of mind and productivity.
An ideal individual or small business would have the need for at least one office space, high speed fiber internet connectivity, and some interest in use of the other facilities listed below which would be negotiable.
You could maintain a constant presence on-site daily or be there much less frequently and still
find this situation economically attractive. Compatibility and business synergy along with your
footprint size are key factors in determining the monthly cost you would pay.
Located in the heart of downtown State Street Santa Barbara within the retail, restaurant/bar,
and entertainment districts – locations such as city hall, post office, theaters, music venues, the
Apple store, FedEx office, UPS, banks, etc. are all a 1-to-5-minute walk.

As a DP/Director/Cam Op./Prod Co. proprietor I have worked in all genres of production. I own
an array of high-end cameras and quality lenses (broadcast and 4K+ cinema) plus lighting and
grip.
I currently specialize in non-fiction broadcast, documentaries, corporate marketing and
Hollywood BTS Featurettes….
As Producer / Post Prod. Facility owner / colorists we have delivered many blue-chip documentaries and natural history films for broadcast along with DCP’s and master files for countless indie film festival shorts and features.
Onsite we continue to maintain the capability to capture/transfer/convert most pro tape
formats (Betacam, Digibeta, HDCAM, DV formats, ¾’, etc.) to HD/4K when needed for archival
access… LTO-8 tape backup for archive and storage… Avid Media composers, Adobe, Davinci
Resolve, FCP editing via hardware BOBs networked via LAN, SAN….
The current situation would accommodate a single private office and single dedicated edit bay
(if desired) along with shared common space within our private facility. Shared Kitchen and
bathrooms with showers are adjacent. The building is large with various sized office spaces
becoming available at different times if the need for expansion were to occur.
If you are a producer with need of Camera crew those services can be negotiated if your regular
crews/vendors, etc. are not available and you were to find our skills desirable…
If you are an editor or work with editors/colorists/motion graphics artists there may be
occasional need for us to contract with you for those services.
We also have very high-end satellite broadcast, bonded cellular and high-speed data
transmission services available either via satellite truck, flyaway packages or LiveU units that
can be used to facilitate remote productions video/data and communications needs with as
many as 100 crew on location.
We often uplink live guests to the various domestic broadcast and international cable news
networks from the insert studio via fiber (e.g. abc, nbc, cbs, pbs, cnn, fox, msnbc, bbc, etc.).
If you were to take up residence in SB or are already located in downtown, Montecito, the
Riviera or parts of the Mesa our rooftop and mountain top data antennas can potentially
connect your home to our secure high-speed network at the office as well.
