I have 740k subscribers across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
The majority (600k) are on YouTube on an account that is growing by about 2k subs a day.
The content I film is wild birds, mostly hummingbirds. Unfortunately, the birds only visit about once every 20 minutes to an hour, so going ‘Live’ on these monetized accounts wouldn’t be super interesting. Unless you like staring at a bird feeder.
Over the last several months I have started working with three brands to promote their products. Bird feeders, bird baths and garden fountains. One of the new brands is a large U.S. chain that has comped some garden fountains.
As a Gen X camera geek, I am not a great choice to be an online Live host.
So I’m looking for an attractive person with an upbeat personality who can go live on her own schedule to promote these bird related products. Once you’re live, you can largely just interact with the viewers. The product promo part doesn’t have any demands attached. No minimums. No B.S. I don't care if you drive actual product sales. Just be you and have fun with the people watching to see how many you can keep watching.
The pay is 40% of the Live profits. I’d offer 50%, but the taxes on YouTube earnings are high and I have to account for that. If you’re not familiar with going live, we get data on earnings at the end of a live session, and there is also additional revenue over time as the live sessions become available as regular videos on the channel. So this has both short and long term earning potential if you’re someone that people like to watch.
You don’t have to drive somewhere to do this. Your own home or garden settings are fine. It's viewership results that count.
There is potential for a long term collaboration that offers the flexibility of going live when you want, where you want, from your own phone, for as long as you want.
One thing is certain, you're going to be better at it than me! So I’m pretty open to experimentation at this point.
I think the upside for the right candidate is high.
