Job Summary
-Diagnose, adjust, repair, maintain, or overhaul automotive vehicles.
Education and Experience
-Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required
-High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is
preferred
-Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a definite plus
Knowledge
-Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
-Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
-Comprehensive understanding of all automotive systems
Skills
-Ability to use the diagnostic equipment.
-Experience with heavy equipment
-Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
-Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
-Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
-Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
-Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals
etc.
Pay
$20 - $35 based on experience and performance
