Looking for skilled woodworker/cabinet installer for a custom furniture and cabinet shop in downtown Los Angeles. Must have experience with cabinetry and fine woodworking. Familiarity with the systems of cabinetry materials, fabrication, hardware, and installation are required. Furniture making and Finishing skills are also a plus. Most work occurs at workshop in Boyle heights with regular onsite at locations throughout the Los Angeles area.
Must have an attention for detail, a concern for safety in workshop, the ability to work independently and with others, and have a positive attitude. Arts/maker/creative/preparator/fabricator backgrounds are desirable.
Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly, have reliable form/mode of transportation, possess basic/advanced tools for working with wood, and be punctual and work in an organized manner. Valid driver’s license required.
Skills and an aptitude for making things are valued in our workshop given the variety of projects we fabricate/build/install. Will train and improve the skills of the right person.
$24-30/hr DOE
Part-time, seasonal, and full-time positions available. Typical hours M-F 8.30-4.30.
