Job Overview:
We specialize in creating bespoke, high-end cabinetry and architectural millwork for discerning clients. We are seeking a Master Custom Cabinet Installer with exceptional craftsmanship and an unwavering commitment to precision. This role is for a highly skilled worker who can not only install finished products but also adapt, modify, and problem-solve on-site to ensure a flawless final result that exceeds client expectations. We have three huge projects coming up all in the Los Angeles and Orange County area and need a installer that is in that general area.
Key Responsibilities:
Precise Installation: Install a wide variety of custom cabinets, trim, and decorative hardware in residential and commercial settings, ensuring every component is perfectly level, plumb, secure, and aligned.
On-Site Modification & Scribing: Expertly cut, shape, and join materials to fit unique and sometimes challenging architectural spaces, including scribing to imperfect walls and floors for a seamless, built-in appearance.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and shop schematics to determine installation requirements and ensure design specifications are met.
Hardware Installation: Install a variety of high-end hardware, including hinges, specialized drawer slides, handles, and pulls, ensuring correct placement and smooth operation.
Quality Control & Finish Work: Inspect cabinetry for any deficiencies and perform necessary touch-ups, repairs, and finishing work (sanding, staining, sealing) to achieve a flawless aesthetic and functional outcome.
Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate effectively with designers, project managers, general contractors, and other tradespeople (plumbers, electricians) to ensure seamless project execution and address any on-site issues.
Client Interaction: Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with clients on job sites, addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Site Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, properly disposing of debris and adhering to all safety regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in custom cabinet installation or high-end finish carpentry.
Technical Proficiency: Mastery of hand and power tools, including table saws, routers, drills, laser levels, and various precision measuring devices.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and precision in measurements, cutting, and installation to meet the exacting standards of custom work.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-identification and resolution skills, with the ability to adapt to unforeseen on-site conditions and troubleshoot issues creatively.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and carry heavy materials (up to 80 lbs) and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.
Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to various job sites is required.
Professionalism: A strong work ethic, integrity, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight as well as part of a team.
