Job Description:
Apartment turnover and repair involve a variety of tasks that require different skills. A handyman who performs this work needs to have basic carpentry skills, including the ability to install and repair doors, windows, and locks. They also need plumbing skills, such as repairing faucets and fixing leaks, as well as electrical wiring skills to install light fixtures and replace outlets. Attention to detail is also important, as the handyman needs to paint the walls and perform other cosmetic repairs to bring the unit back to pristine condition. In addition to these technical skills, a successful apartment turnover handyman should have good communication skills to work effectively with property management, tenants and maintenance teams, plus the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently to meet deadlines.
Compensation: $25 an hour, plus mileage pay and reimbursement for materials. Pay day is twice a month through payroll and directly deposited to your bank account. You must have a valid social security number to be on payroll. We pay based on the actual time you work on each job. Full-time work is not guaranteed. However, if you are good at what you do, you should be getting consistent work.
